MEXICO: This amazing shot of a mushroom-shaped dust cloud on Mars has been claimed to show a “nuclear” explosion by space-gazing conspiracy theorists.
Taken by an Indian space probe orbiting the Red Planet, the satellite pictures show a zoomed-in section of the 2,500 mile-long Valles Marineris canyon.A dust cloud is clearly visible in the bottom left corner of the picture.
The image was uploaded to the Indian Space Research Organisation and has been picked up by French YouTube channel UDOvni Disclosure, which claims: “We may wonder whether it is an enormous rare dust wind cloud, or caused due to a nuclear or methane explosion.”
The conspiracy theorists reckon this shot was taken around the same time as the comet Sliding Spring passed close to Mars last year.
What’s more, those behind the video blame NASA for covering up the “explosion” that happened on Mars.
The video proceeds to line the image from the Indian space probe alongside an image taken, they say, at the same time by NASA – which doesn’t show the dust cloud.
