HAVANA: The European Union and Cuba are holding in Havana the fifth round of talks towards a political and cooperation accord.
According to the EU office in Havana, the European delegation is being headed by Christian Leffler, Director for The Americas at the European Foreign Action Service, while the Cuban delegation is headed by deputy foreign minister Abelardo Moreno.
The dialog will consider chapters related to cooperation and trade with the aim of including them on the bilateral agenda, as well as discussions on the chapter about a political dialog. Other issues to be addressed include civil society, human rights and good governance, reads the announcement on the webpage of the EU office in Havana.
