HAVANA: The Ministry of Food Industry established maximum catch quotas for spiny lobster to authorized boats and companies, with the obligation to stop fishing after meeting their plans.

According to Resolution 121/2015 of the sector, published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cuba, due to the importance that the spiny lobster has in the Cuban insular platform, the Advisory Committee, responsible for the planning and management of water resources, proposed to regulate fishing of this resource.
