HAVANA: Workers of the Internacional Cubana de Tabacos (ICT by its Spanish acronym) produced more than 134 million cigars this year.
That figure was the result of hard work and dedication of the group, mostly women, who achieved favorable results in the use of raw materials for making the cigars, using state of art technology.
It also stands out the high productivity of those teams that produce different sizes with high quality leaves of Cuban tobacco, said Emilio Delgado, director of production of the company belonging to Tabacuba Business Group.
He explained that the entity is working to comply with new regulations the European Union will apply to Cuban cigars in the coming year regarding packaging.
