KARACHI: The Customs House is to remain open today (Sunday) as routine office timings to collect duties and taxes, it is learnt here.
In a notification issued by the office of the Chief Collector-Appraisement (South), all field formation Collectorates and National Bank branch in Customs House Karachi will remain open from 8am to 4pm for collecting duties/taxes of imported consignments.
The said decision has been taken in view of collecting as many as duties and taxes by the end of current fiscal year.
The business community, importer and traders have expressed their pleasure over the decision taken by the Customs authorities in this regard.
