Customs Adjudication collects Rs165m & decides 174 cases till Dec

FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Customs Adjudication has collected revenue worth Rs 164.875 million and decided almost 174 cases up to the end of December 2016.

Sources told Customs Today that the Faisalabad Adjudication Collectorate issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in all the cases in favour of the Model Customs Collectorate ( Mcc ), Faisalabad, and Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I), Regional Office, Faisalabad.

The Adjudication Department heard cases of smuggled vehicles, auto-parts, silk cloth, diesel generator, Iranian diesel and other items brought into country without paying customs duty and taxes during the above said period.

As per details, Customs Adjudication’s Raja Tahir Majeed decided seven cases involving Rs 50.592 million while Additional Collector Beelamur Ramzan settled 38 cases involving duty taxes worth Rs 62.679 million.

Meanwhile, Deputy Collector Adjudication Faisalabad Asma Hameed solved 129 cases involving Rs 51.604 million and announced a decision in favour of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Regional Office, Faisalabad, up to December 2015-16.
