Customs Adjudication decides case of polyethylene HDPE

MULTAN: The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication decided a case regarding  confiscation of polyethylene HDPE (Plastic Dana) worth Rs 1.8 million captured by Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan .

The Multan Customs Intelligence and Investigation seized more than 600 bags of Iran-origin polyethylene HDPE (Plastic Dana) a few months ago and the seizure case was sent for proceeding under adjudication.  Additional Collector Adjudication Customs  Faisalabad Amjad Rehman decided the seizure  case of polyethylene HDPE (Plastic Dana) on September 10 but owner Umer claimed the seized goods did not belong to him.  Polyethylene HDPE (Plastic Dana) was seized under clause 89 of Section 156 (1) of Customs Act  1969 and the worth of confiscated polyethylene HDPE (Plastic Dana) was almost Rs 2 million.

All the smuggled polyethylene HDPE (Plastic Dana) was coming from Iran on fake documents and their destination was the South Punjab. The  smuggled plastic Dana is used in manufacturing of plastic goods and the demand for  plastic dana is also in bulk for industrial raw material.
