KARACHI: The Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA) has decided to move Supreme Court of Pakistan against the Sindh High Court verdict in which it restored All Pakistan Customs Agents Association (APCAA) and to file a suit in order to get stay order over a SHC verdict, it was learnt here on Tuesday.
The KCAA sources informed Customs Today that a legal team of the association has planned to submit a writ petition in the apex court against the SHC verdict. They further informed this scribe that the KCAA legal team was consulting with other legal advisers and considering all legal aspects in this regard. To a query, the sources disclosed that the KCAA would file a suit in Supreme Court by the advent of the next month in order to get stay order over the SHC verdict.
It is pertinent to mention here that the division bench of Sindh High Court (SHC) has disposed of a petition filed by Saifullah, former President of KCAA and Tariq Siddiqui, former General Secretary KCAA against All Pakistan Customs Agents Association (APCAA) in the year 2010.
