Customs ASO seizes smuggled cloth, vehicle worth Rs175m

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized detained a 40 feet container containing 31.5 tons of foreign origin valvet and polyester curtain cloth.

Sources told Customs Today that these goods were being transported from Quetta to Lahore through M/s Sanjar Transportation Company that belongs to a notorious smuggler. The operation was conducted at Sunder Lahore and the driver of truck and his helper were arrested at the spot. The approximate value of detained goods and vehicle is 175 million.
