Sialkot Collectorate to work round-the-clock to facilitate exporters: Collector Ahmed Reza Khan

SIALKOT: Collector Customs Model Customs Collectorate Sialkot Ahmed Reza Khan said that the industrialists are the backbone of national economy who are playing a crucial role for the prosperity and development of the country.  He said that Sialkot is famous for quality sports goods wherein numerous factories – big and small, were busy in earning laurels and foreign exchange for the motherland.

He was addressing a large gathering during annual general meeting of Sports Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association .

He claimed that he always struggled to excel in the quality merchandise to compete with competitors in the international market.  The Model Customs Collectorate Sialkot will function round the clock to facilitate the exporters. The step has been taken for expeditious clearance of export consignments from the dry port, he added.

Collector Customs Ahmed Reza Khan lauded the role of exporters who travel all around the world to bring business with their personal efforts. He said that the export earnings of Sialkot stand at US $ 1.6 billion annually, which is six percent of the total exports of Pakistan.

On this occasion, the newly elected chairman of Sports Goods Manufacturer and Exporters Association Irfan Elahi, President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry Maj® Mansoor Ahmed, Riazud din Shiekh, Zarar Dhodhi, Asad Bashir and other businessmen were present.

He congratulated the newly elected office-bearers of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Sports Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association.
