LAHORE: Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 23 different cases which were scheduled for hearing, including pre-arrest bail pleas and recording statements of the witnesses.
Cases scheduled for hearing on Friday including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics. A case of narcotics smuggling against Rizwan Baig was also adjourned. He was allegedly involved in smuggling of heroin from Khyber Pukhtoonkhawa to Lahore while arrested by Customs Intelligence.
Cases of pre-arrest bail pleas of Muzammal and Shahbaz were also scheduled in the customs court for their pre-arrest bails in a alleged smuggling case but the court adjourned these cases until next hearing. The court also proceeded on statements of witnesses on 10 different cases on the day.
