Customs earns Rs700m extra revenue during July: Deputy Collector Saiqa Abbas

ISLAMABAD: Collectorate of Customs earned Rs700 million extra revenue under all heads during the month of July  against same correspondence period of previous Fiscal Year 2017-17.

Deputy Collector Saqia Abass while talking with Customs Today said that Collectorate showed satisfactory performance under all heads during the month of July FY2018-19. She said that MCC received Rs1667 million under all heads during the month of July of Fiscal Year 2018-19 against collection of Rs960 million under same head during identical period of previous Fiscal Year 2017-18.

She said that MCC fetched Rs409 million under head of Customs duty (CD) during month of July FY18-19 against collection of Rs.325 million under same head during same correspondence period. She said that MCC received Rs743 million under head of sales tax (ST) during July FY18-19 against collection of Rs404 million under same head during similar correspondence period.

Saiqa Abass told Customs Today that during the month of July FY2018-19, the Collectorate fetched Rs340 million under head of income tax (IT) during the month of July FY2018-19 against revenue collection of Rs188 million during same period under identical period.

Deputy Collector said that earned Rs173 million under head of federal excise duty (FED) during the month of July against Rs42 million collected under same head during same period of correspondence period of previous year.
