Customs export collectorate detects eight cases of using fake Form-E in last six months

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Exports Karachi has detected eight cases of using fake E-Form in export consignments during the last six months.

Sources informed Customs Today that the MCC-Export is vigilant and keeping strict surveillance over using fake E-Form in export consignments.

They further said that the FIRs have been registered against the unscrupulous elements who were involved in using fake E-Form in consignments.

Replying to a query, the sources said that the investigation is being continued into the said matters and all out efforts are being made to unveil the culprits who were involved in using fake E-Form.

They further said that the bank staff has also significance in verifying the nature/status of E-Form in export consignments, adding that timely authentication regarding the nature of E-Form by bank sides imperative in order to eliminate such criminal proceedings.

The sources further disclosed that the launching of Export Module by Reforms & Automation in WeBOC, automated system would certainly eliminate the cases of using fake E-forms in the export consignments.

The E-Form is being verified through One-Customs (manual system of clearance) which increases the risk of using fake E-Form. However; the FBR, keeping such tactics into mind, has decided to transfer the export module from One Customs to WeBOC automated system for eradicating the use of fake E-Form.
