SIALKOT: The Customs Intelligence has asked the higher authorities of the Excise and Taxation Department of the four provinces, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir, not to register non-custom paid vehicles.
An official of the Customs Intelligence told Customs Today that it has come to the notice of the department that various people are using imported vehicles and they got registration with consent of the official of the Excise and Taxation Department without paying customs duty.
Now, the department has planned to impound the non-duty paid vehicle if the defaulters reluctant to pay the dues in wake of customs duty.
