Customs issues notices to two companies for alleged tax evasion

KARACHI: The Model Customs Exports has issued a show cause notice to M/s Rashid Hosiery and Exports to deposit their tax. The Customs Exports has also issued notice to a Meerpur Khas based company to submit their tax with fine.

As per the details, the Customs Exports has issued a final notice to the company which is allegedly involved in tax evasion of Rs 1.8 million.  The company cleared 12 consignments during the first three months of 2016 but did not deposit tax of Rs 1.8 million. Through the notice, the department has warned the owner of the company to deposit the tax within seven days otherwise a take stern action will be taken against him.

In another action, the department issued notice with fine of Rs 222,000 to M/s M.Z Tool. The said company was passed 4 consignments during the second month of 2016 in which company did not deposit tax of Rs 1.3 million. The said company misused of SRO 534 and try to avoid the pay tax which was implementing on items. The department issued notice with fine and warned him to submit their tax on priority bases.
