Customs will facilitate customs agents on priority: Collector Huda

KARACHI: The Collector of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Preventive Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda on Friday attended the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA), organized by its managing committee at Air Freight Unit (AFU) Camp Office.

The ceremony was held at Old Pan Shed at AFU at 3:30pm followed by hi-tea. The Collector MCC Preventive Tariq Huda was acted as Chief Guest on the ceremony.

Additional Deputy Collector (ADC) Dr Tahir Qureshi, deputy collectors and assistant collectors were also present on the occasion.

The President KCAA Qamar Alam, General Secretary KCAA Khurram Ijaz and other office-bearers were also present on the occasion.

On the occasion, Collector, MCC Preventive S M Tariq Huda lauded the services rendered by the KCAA since 1965 and hoped that the agents’ association will continue to serve its community with the same zeal.

Tariq Huda further said that creating awareness of rules and regulations of customs laws among the clearing agents should be the top most priority of the Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA).

Collector Tariq Huda assured the entire customs agents’ community that the Pakistan Customs is always striving hard to facilitate the trade while remaining in the ambits of rules and laws.

Later, the President KCAA Qamar Alam, General Secretary Khurram Ijaz and members of KCAA managing committee thanked the Collector Tariq Huda for his participation in the golden jubilee celebrations.

It is pertinent to mention here that the KCAA has recently organized a golden jubilee celebrations and inauguration of Customs Library at Old Custom House Building, where the Chief Collector-Appraisement (South) Nasir Masroor Ahmed was acted as chief guest.
