KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Valuation Dr Wasif Memon has revised the customs values of stationery.
It was brought to the notice of Directorate General of Customs Valuation that the values of various types of stationary items have considerably increased in the international market as compared to the determined customs values of stationary items through the Valuation Ruling No.585/2013. Therefore, an exercise to determine the values of subject items was carried out.
According to the freshValuation Ruling No.868/2016, the customs value of ink for fiber tip pens and fine liner pens(water base ) of China origin are fixed at 3.90/kg and of other origin at 4.46/kg, ink cartridge for Fountain pen of China at 4.10/kg and of other origins at 4.75/kg. Ink for Markers & Ball pens of UK, USA, Japan and Germany origin have been fixed at 8.00/kg and of other origins at 7.76/kg.
The value of Glue sticks of all sizes weight including plastic casing and cap of Uk, USA, Japan and Germany origin at 8.71/kg and of other origins 7.76kg. The value of white correction fluid assorted packing except in pen-form of China is fixed at 4.00/kg and white correction fluid pen from China at 0.14/Pc and other origins at 0.16/Pc.
The value of normal sharpener of China has been fixed at 8.40/kg and fancy sharpener at 16.75/kg. Staple pins of all sizes of Uk, USA, Japan and Germany origin at 3.20/kg, of China at 2.17/kg and of other origins at 2.80/kg. Empty geometry box plastic (plain) of China at 0.14/Pc and of other origins at 0.47/Pc.
The customs values of empty geometry box plastic (plastic), empty geometry box metal tin (fancy), geometry box plastic and fancy, ball point pens, markers of all types, paint & drawing marker and other stationary items have been revised.
