DG Samaira rejects petition against VR No. 677/2015 of UPS

KARACHI: Director General of the Directorate General Customs Valuation, Samaira Nazir Khan has rejected a review petition through Order in Revision against amendment to Valuation Ruling No.677/2014 pertaining to uninterruptible power supply (UPS).

DG Samaira in her Order in Revision No.108 /2015 under section 25-D of the Customs Act, 1969 said “I do not find any sustainability in the submission made by the petitioners and the petition is thus rejected which lacks merit.”

This revision petition was filed under section 25-D of the Customs Act, 1969 against customs value determined for U.P.S. vide Valuation Ruling No.677/2014 dated September 30, 2014 issued under section 25-A of the Customs Act, 1969.

“Being aggrieved and dissatisfied with the subject valuation dated June 30, 2014 and its further amendment vide letter No. MISC/25/2013-VII dated July 18, 2014, regarding customs valuation for uninterruptible power supply devices. The appellant respectfully submit the review petition by saying that rate of valuation is not according to the price of international market.
