BRUSSELS: Ministers of European Space Agency announced that the members of (ESA) agreed for development of new launchers and accepted funding for the International Space Station and space research.
The one-day Council meeting at ministerial level in Luxembourg was “productive,” said ESA.
Three resolutions were adopted at the meeting, including development of Ariane 6 and Vega C, ESA’s three destinations for exploration (low-Earth orbit, Moon and Mars) and ESA’s vision until 2030.
Moreover, ministers at the meeting agreed that ESA will maintain the status of an independent, world-class intergovernmental space organization.
The next Council meeting at ministerial level is scheduled for 2016 in Switzerland.
