DELHI: Microsoft has rolled out an attractive ‘Smart Exchange’ offer for existing Asha handset owners in India, in order to get them to use the Windows Phone platform.

The software giant is offering discounts for existing Asha customers who are willing to buy its recently launched Lumia 435 Smartphone.

The exchange offer is available in India for owners of the Asha 500, Asha 501, Asha 502 and Asha 503 who get an assured discount of Rs. 1,500/. There is also an assured discount of Rs. 1,000/- for owners of the Asha 305, Asha 306, Asha 308, Asha 309, Asha 310 and Asha 311.

Microsoft basically wants to upgrade its customers to the latest OS and is going all out to promote its cheapest Windows Phone handset yet, the Lumia 435.

What makes the offer even better is the fact that Paytm, India’s largest mobile payments service will offer all Lumia 435 owners Rs. 1,250/- a cashback of recharges through the Paytm app during the offer period (Rs. 250 per transaction).

So an Asha owner looking for a slightly pricier upgrade must go for the Lumia 435 is indeed a great idea for now. This is so because the offer lasts only till the 15th of April 2015 or as the PR puts it, till stocks last.
