SIALKOT: The Punjab government has provided 60,000 computerised number plates and registration boxes to the Gujranwala Division Excise and Taxation Department. The department would soon start the issuance of these number plates to the applicants.
According to officials, the department had collected fee from the applicants in 2007, but the provision of these computerised number plated remained suspended.
Now, the department has received as many as 20,000 computerised numbers plates for motorcycles and 40,000 for rickshaws and other vehicles.
