SIALKOT: Exporters, manufacturers and traders have rejected the civil disobedience call of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and termed it detrimental for economy of the country.
PTI and PAT long marches and sit-ins have been hindering the trade and commerce activities adversely as a result of which the business community is facing serious hardships because a large number of foreign export orders have been get stuck. The business community and common man particularly overseas Pakistanis are were facing serious hardships in obtaining and renewal of visas due to long march and sit-ins in the capital.
Talking to APP here Tuesday they urged both the political parties to reconsider their agitation policies and refrain from undermining national interests.
President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Dr Sarfraz Bashir while expressing his views said that unconstitutional calls of both the political parties adversely affect the national economy and productivity across the country.
“We were making efforts for strengthening industrial sector with concept of enhancing the export volume for consolidating the country economically, but unfortunately these political parties are not realizing the gravity of the situation,” he said.
