Faisalabad Customs I&I seizes smuggled cigarettes

Faisalabad: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad raided a warehouse located at Kamalia Bypass and recovered foreign brand cigarettes -the Benson & Hedges and Dunhill.

The amount of confiscated cigarettes is Rs 7 million, according to Saad Atta Rabbani, Deputy Director of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad.   He added that the quantity of smuggled cigarettes is 5, 50,000. This is the biggest quantity of smuggled cigarettes seized in a single operation, Saad Ata Rubbani said.

Senior Intelligence Officer Tahir Iqbal of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad revealed this to Custom Today, quoting Customs Intelligence and Investigation Deputy Director Atta Saad Rabbani.

“Customs team seized the huge quantity of smuggled cigarettes and loaded it on trucks and brought it to their office. An FIR has been registered and the culprits involved in this case will be arrested. He added that custom intelligence team is working on several other information related to smuggled goods and non-paid items,” Tahir said.
