NEW YOKR: Walmart is apologizing for calling plus-sized Halloween costumes “fat girl costumes” on its website. Someone spotted the faux pas and alerted a blog and the internet exploded. Twitter users raked the retail giant over the coals. Walmart took down the section and sent out multiple apology tweets.
“This never should have been on our site. It is unacceptable, and we apologize. We quickly removed it,” Walmart said in a tweet.
