FBR charge sheets three customs officers of BS-16 for corruption

LAHORE: The Federal board of Revenue (FBR) has issued charge sheet against three BS-16 officers. The inquiry officers found various acts of omissions and commissions constituting the cases of inefficiency, misconduct and corruption against them.

The officers who are charged including Inspector Model Customs Collectorate Lahore, Syed Tanvir Hussain, Deputy Superintendent Model Customs Collectrate of appraisement Lahore, Muhammad Idrees and Superintendent Model Customs Collectrate Sialkot, Muhammad Sohail Butt.

According to details FBR charged and disciplinary proceedings were initiated against Inspector Model Customs Collectrate of Preventive Lahore, Syed Tanvir Hussain Shah. Additional Collector Muhammad Irfan Waheed appointed as inquiry officers and after conducting inquiry the officer found with misconduct and corruption and charged under government servant (efficiency and discipline) rules 1973. Accused officer preferred to department appeal to applet authority against the notification of penalty.

Deputy Superintendent Model Customs Collectrate of Appraisement Lahore, Muhammad Idrees also charged.  Additional collector Muhammad Irfan Waheed appointed as inquiry officers and after conducting inquiry the officer found misconduct and corruption on it and charged under government servant (efficiency and discipline) rules 1973.

Accused officer preferred to department appeal to applet authority against the notification of penalty. The member admin FBR as authority in this case.

While Superintendent Model Customs Collectrate Sialkot, Muhammad Sohail Butt is charged on committing misconduct and corruption. He has the right to appeal as admissible in civil servants rules 1977.
