FBR Chief angry on provision of inaccurate data to TRC

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Tariq Bajwa has shown his annoyance over the negligence on part of FBR tax officials, who provided inaccurate tax data to Tax Reforms Commission. Bajwa has ordered all officials to provide only authentic data to TRC who is engaged in drafting new tax policy.

Earlier Tax Reforms Commission on its 3rd meeting held on Jan 17 pointed out inconsistencies and inaccuracies in data provided by FBR. Chairman TRC cited few examples where the data provided at a later date did not match the earlier data.

Chairman FBR has shown his displeasure and has directed that from now onward all the data provided to the TRC should be personally examined by the Member concerned and should be issued under his personal signatures so that there is no chance left of inaccuracy.
