FAISALABAD: The superintendents of Regional Tax Office and Model Customs Collectorate Faisalabad have urged the government to upgrade their scale from BS-16 to Bs-17, as per orders passed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

RTO Union Vice President Shiekh Muhammad Akbar and other employees have demanded the government to upgrade the job scale of officers as per the directions issued. They informed that PM Nawaz Sharif had issued a notification regarding the one-scale promotion of superintendents on September 23, 2014, December 10, 2014 and on January 20, 2015, while no step was being taken to execute the orders.

They added that superintendents in other departments had been promoted by one scale but in the FBR they were waiting for their turn. The promotion of superintendents is pending for many months due to unknown reasons.

The officers showed excellent performance to get rewards and promotions, but delay in promotions could discourage the officers and affect their performance, they said.
