HELSINKI: A work stoppage will keep all outlets of the national postal service Posti shut on Tuesday. The work stoppage results from the failure to come to a satisfactory solution between Posti and the Finnish Post and Logistics Union PAU during the statutory negotiations.
Posti runs 98 outlets. Posti intends to cut 80 outlets and outsource the services to grocery chains and kiosks. Employees at the Posti outlets are against closure of the outlets. The employees are expected to report to work as normal on Thursday.
