HELSINKI: Finnish security technology company Flexim Security and an internationally recognised Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology have entered into a cooperation agreement. The organisations will develop a new digital key technology together.
Digital key technology will bring home and premises access control that isn’t dependent on physical keys. According to Flexim, mechanical keys have been used for homes and other premises for a surprisingly long time, given the advances in key technology. This contract will give Flexim Security the opportunity to further develop its technology for distribution and management of digital keys. With this technology, Flexim can create cost-effective and highly scalable access management solutions and related services.
