Samsung is using a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 3 GB of RAM in both the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, ensuring both smartphone’s have a fast and fluid user experience. Both phablets also have enhanced S Pen functionality.
In terms of cameras, both phablets pack in a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization) and the same 3.7-megapixel front-facing shooter for video chat and selfies. The Galaxy Note 4’s dimensions come in at 153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5 mm and weighs 6.21 oz and the Galaxy Note Edge’s are 151.3 x 82.4 x 8.3 mm and it weighs 6.14 oz.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 ships with a large removable 3,220 mAh battery that will provide up to 20 hours of talk time and the Galaxy Note Edge is packing a 3,000 mAh removable battery that will provide up to 20 hours of talk time.
As you can see, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge are nearly identical in terms of specs and features; the main question you’ll have to ask yourself is the Galaxy Note Edge’s curved display enough to justify paying $399 with a new 2-year contract, which is a $100 premium over the $299 price with new 2-year contract for the Galaxy Note 4.
