General Motors India appoints Swati Bhattacharya as VP Communications

NEW DELHI: General Motors India has announced the appointment of Swati Bhattacharya as vice president of Communications and Pankaj Gupta as vice president of Government Relations and Public Policy. Both appointments are effective September 10, 2015.

“When we recently announced a new $1 billion investment strategy for the Indian market, we highlighted that new people will join General Motors to help us as we grow in India,” said Arvind Saxena, President and Managing Director, General Motors India said. “Adding Swati and Pankaj to the GM India team will help extend GM’s profile with important stakeholders such as the media and policy makers and develop the GM brand in this market. I am very glad that they are coming on board at one of the most exciting times in GM’s history in India.”
