Giving new a touch: CDA adding to Islamabad beauty

ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) is committed to providing healthy and clean environment and will utilize all-out resources and expertise to add to the beauty of the federal capital.

According to CDA Chairman Maroof Mughal, various steps are under way to beautify various entry points and greenbelts to give a new touch to the beauty of Islamabad.

He also inspected beautification work being carried out at different sites at Golra Toll Plaza and along Kashmir Highway. Administration and Estate Member, Amer Ali Ahmed, Environment Member, Syed Mustafain Kazmi and other officers concerned were also present on the occasion.

On the occasion, CDA Member (Environment) Syed Mustafain Kazmi briefed the chairman about the project and informed that in the first phase selected sites at Golra Moar / Toll Plaza and along Kashmir Highway would be beautified by planting ever green and flowering plants, landscaping where multi-colour flowers and different species of the flowering, trees will be planted, to make Islamabad more attractive and lush green. In addition to the flowers different varieties of shady and fruit trees will also be planted at selected sites.

The next phase of the beautification and landscaping work would start from Faizabad to Rawat and on other major avenues.
