NEW YORK: Many are sure that Google and Android are planning to take the world by storm with the Nexus 8.Android has declared they will be rolling Lollipop 5.0 out devices in the next couple of weeks.

Out with the Google range HTC have happily confirmed their flagship models the HTC One “M8) and (M7) are also receiving the android update. For Google devices specifically, so far it has stated that the Nexus 4, 5, 6 and 7 smart phones are to get the update as well as the Google tablets, the Nexus 10 and the newest addition to the Google nexus franchise, the Nexus 9.

But there are rumours that the relationship between Google and Android that has so far been a very close one, indeed one might go as far as to say very “hand in hand” over the latest operating system is because they are leading to something even bigger than we imagined.

When you think about it, it all makes sense. All the initial testing over two rounds were done on the Google Nexus 5 and 7 and only after all the Google Nexus range were lined up first to receive the update then HTC and Motorola could get slice of the action. But even then, HTC and Motorola are getting it on a limited number of devices whilst Google is getting it across nearly all of their devices, with HTC so far confirming the update on two devices and Motorola on just one. The evidence all points to one thing; the Nexus 8.

The rumours have been building up as tech experts believe that the latest Google device will be announced around about the time Lollipop is rolled out worldwide, meaning it will be the first device with Lollipop hardwired into it. Now with all the things Lollipop is capable of already as an update imagine what it could do with full integration?

The worldwide delivery of the Android Lollipop update is not the end game but merely the final testing stage as a precursor to a greater goal. That’s why all the nexus family are getting it, as a final collaboration of results which will help the two Silicon Valley giants perfect and maybe even improve the operating system. We will probably see a “Lollipop 5.0.1” before the end of the year as they implement the operating system into the Nexus 8.
