LONDON: The LG Nexus 5 has yet to lose its flair despite newer kin and newer rivals coming in and out of the showground. The handset has gone under the radar after LG and Google took a break from manufacturing more units. But not to fret as the 2013 release smartphone has once again found its way back to the Google Play Store, granting consumers living in the U.S. another chance to snag the topnotch smartphone.

Google has made 32 GB and 64 GB models of the phone available, with black as the lone color option (although it came with white and red variants on its debut). The former is priced at $349 while the latter is at $399. The units are shipped two business days after placing the order.

Although released almost two years ago, the 4.95-inch device is all gussied up with the latest Android Lollipop build, making it the best choice for consumers who want to be up to speed when it comes to operating system upgrades. According to BGR, the LG handset was hailed as one of the finest handsets to ever grace the market.

It comes in a True HD display, incredibly sharp and crisp with a 1080 x 1920 pixel rendering and an impressive 445 ppi pixel density. The resurrected smartphone also packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, which should make this device a power performer. There is also 2 GB of RAM to get around and juice that lasts for 17 hours, courtesy of the Li-Po 2300 mAh battery.

The Nexus 5 also features an 8-megapixel rear-facing shooter that supports optical image stabilization and high definition video recording. At 130 grams and 8.6-mm thickness, the Nexus 5 fares nicely next to the Nexus 6. The greater thing about this is that it comes with a smaller price tag. LG and Google promised to bring the device back in the first quarter of the year and they did not disappoint. Head over here and here to secure a Nexus 5.
