SYDNEY: Australian Google fans can earn up $15 for referring new users to Google Apps for Work under a new program launched today.
Google today launched its Apps Referral Program in Australia, after it first launched in the US and Canada in March 2014. More than 10,000 individuals signed up for that program.
According to Google, if a user recommends a customer with multiple user accounts, the referrer gets $15 for each of the customer’s first 100 users.
The final referral amount is calculated based on the number of users who have paid for at least 120 days, Google said.
Users must provide their name, email and bank account details to join the referral program, after which Google provides a unique referral link, email and website templates to help users recruit friends or colleagues.
The paid version of Google Apps for Work boasts professional email domains, 24/7 phone and email support, enhanced security features, full administration services for all users and additional storage capacity.
Google Apps for Work costs $5 per user per month, including 30GB of Gmail and Google Drive storage, or $10 per month for unlimited storage and access to Google Vault.
Google said the referral program only applies to paid Google Apps for Work and not free apps.
