Greek stocks lower at closing of trade, lost 0.50%

ATHENS: Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.50%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 8.33% or 0.025 points to trade at 0.325 at the close. Meanwhile, FHL I Kiriakidis Marbles and Granites SA (AT:KRKr) added 7.40% or 0.310 points to end at 4.500 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) was up 6.72% or 0.85 points to 13.65 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr), which fell 6.75% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.152 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) declined 6.67% or 0.007 points to end at 0.098 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) was down 5.95% or 0.033 points to 0.522.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 53 to 44 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in FHL I Kiriakidis Marbles and Granites SA (AT:KRKr) rose to all time highs; up 7.40% or 0.310 to 4.500. Shares in Autohellas (AT:AUTr) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 6.72% or 0.85 to 13.65.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.74% or 9.15 to $1243.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 1.00% or 0.49 to hit $48.42 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.70% or 0.36 to trade at $51.26 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.65% to 1.0809, while EUR/GBP fell 0.35% to 0.8660.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 99.56.
