HONG KONG: Hong Kong Customs said today it seized 3,900 suspected counterfeit portable chargers worth HK$270,000 and arrested 28 men and 21 women.
They have been released on bail.
Raids were carried out over the past three months in various districts.
Divisional Commander of Intellectual Property General Investigation Division, Lam Yau-tak, said that in tests on the output performance, the chargers were below the declared specifications. Some were also at risk of overheating and short-circuiting.
