Takata airbag crisis prompts increased checks on imports

LONDON: Recently, we introduced you to the Brazilian 160cc Honda bike seeing that the potential 160cc motorcycle is coming to India, but the mystery has now been solved. Honda’s most graceful motorcycle of all times – Honda Unicorn is going to be launched in a whole new embodiment with a newer power train and approach.
There are a few leaked pictures of the upcoming Honda Unicorn that conveyed the true part of the story to us. The bike is looking much sportier and modern than before with a naked street-fighter look, bold front fascia, classy tank with shrouds and edgy rear end. Unlike the old model, it sports a fully digital instrument cluster, stylish rear view mirrors, recomposed indicators, uplifted foot pegs, unique tail light, etc. The long seat with a curve separates the rider and the pillion, while it looks comfortable for the rider with tall handlebar position.
Honda Unicorn is expected to run with a new 160cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, OHC motor. With viscous air filter and other generous technologies by Honda, the motor is expected to perform brilliantly. Mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox, it is expected to churn-out more than 14.35bhp of power, which is produced by the current 150cc Honda Trigger.
Other specifications in the braking and suspension column might remain the old one. The front end could come fitted with telescopic forks, while the rear can sport mono-shock suspension. The tyres can work efficiently with the 240mm front disc brake and 130mm rear drum brake. The 5-spoke alloys continue to provide stability and durability. Honda now can compete with the TVS Apache RTR 160 head to head, while striking the 150cc segment with its all new style and ability. No words on the price of the bike can be written, as there is no authentic information about the new 160 Honda Unicorn.
