LONDON: HTC One M9 the new hi-tech smartphone by HTC, images, features and specifications have been leaked. The new flagship reportedly featured with 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 2GHz Octa-core Snapdragon processor, runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Tech site Mobile Geeks spotted online listings for the new smartphone, which as expected, will be called the HTC One M9.
Images appeared on a German retail site and the Mobile Geeks quickly flagged them up before the pages were removed.
The images show a new 20-megapixel rear-facing camera that protrudes slightly from the phone’s metal body, but the rest of the design will be very similar to the current generation M8.
A full set of the reported specifications was also available, including a new 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage plus room for MicroSD expansion. It will, of course, run Android 5.0 Lollipop. BoomSound speakers are there too, sitting either end of the 5-inch, full 1080p display.
HTC also appears to be following Apple by moving the power button from the top to the side of the device. Apple did this with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, falling in line with the rest of the smartphone market – except LG which still likes to have the power button on the back.
There is some new colour shown in the leaked images, with a gold and silver combination looking almost a little Samsung-esque from the side, while they also show a gunmetal grey version.
The One M9 is set to be officially unveiled on March 1 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the same day Samsung will take the covers off its next Galaxy smartphone.
