MUMBAI: Huawei announced to launch Honor 6 plus in India for Rs 30,000 o n March 13. The Honor 6 runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and has the EMUI 3.0 interface layered on top. The processor used here is the Kirin 925 which offers an octa core configuration with a 1.8GHz clock speed and Mali 628 MP4 graphics. There’s also 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and dual 8MP rear cameras which offer improved low-light performance.
Invites for the event have been sent out to the press confirming that previous rumors were true. Also, the company’s CEO did disclose at the MWC 2015 that the handset was headed to India sometime this month. The smartphone is basically a beefier version of the highly affordable Honor 6 handset which made its debut in the country back in September.
The new Huawei smartphone falls in the phablet category since it offers a 5.5-inch display. It’s also loaded with an improved processor and a lot more, encased within a very premium and gorgeous design. The front features a full glass coating and it looks like the rear panel has been given the same treatment, but comprises of several layers and a textured look.
