BUDAPEST: The managing director of local unit Rigips, said yesterday that the Hungarian plant of French drywall company Saint-Gobain Group saw revenue of HUF 6.5b last year.
In 2008, Saint-Gobain opened Hungaryʼs first drywall plant with an investment of €30m. Since 2012, Rigips has been able to boost capacity at the plant. Last year, it used more than half of its capacity. Saint-Gobainʼs overall revenue in Hungary reached HUF 25b in 2013, Hungarian news agency MTI noted, adding that it employs almost 1,000 people in the Hungary.
