The petitioner Chaudhry Muhammad Akram advocate appeared in the court and told that about 200 billion dollars of Pakistanis are lying in Swiss banks and a constitutional petition has been filed seeking return of this amount to Pakistan.

He contended that these 200 billion dollars are owned by Pakistanis which were sent to Swiss Banks during different times.

He prayed the court to direct the government to bring back this amount to Pakistan. The names of Pakistanis who have stashed this money be also made public, he requested. Finance minister Ishaq Dar has admitted siphoning off these 200 billion dollars to Swiss banks.

Finance ministry and foreign ministry have been made respondents in the petition.

Registrar office had raised objection over the constitutional petition that the petitioner is not aggrieved party.

During the preliminary hearing the court issued orders to the petitioner to furnish record and evidence of these 200 billion dollars. The court also directed the petitioner to meet legal formalities of the petition and then it will further hear the case.

The petitioner assured the court that legal documents will be provided along with the petition and the petition will be filed afresh.

The court while upholding the registrar office observations on constitutional petition filed against stashing of 200 billion dollars in Swiss Banks adjourned the hearing of the case indefinitely.
