The BSF jawans found packets containing 7 kg of heroin and 38 fake Indian currency notes of Rs 1,000 denomination each. They also recovered a SIM card. The contraband was smuggled into India by smugglers and was supposed to be collected by their Indian contacts. But the alertness of the BSF jawans led to the seizure of the consignment. The BSF officials say smugglers take advantage of the dense fog during this season. The smugglers hid the contraband in bags near a tubewell in the fields situated across the barbed fence.
