MANGALORE: Customs officers at Mangalore International Airport have seized two gold biscuits each weighing 100 grams from a passenger who arrived on board Air India Express Flight IX 386 from Damam.
Each of these gold biscuits with marking of Suisse fine gold 999.9 valued at Rs0.545 million was concealed inside the baggage of S Mahammad, a resident of Mangalore.
V Shreenivas Phani, assistant commissioner of customs said further investigation is under progress under the direction of D Purushottam, commissioner of customs.
