GHAZIBAD: Indian Excise Department has seized 340 cartons of smuggled liquor worth Rs 18 lakh from a canter truck on Vijay Nagar Highway and two persons have been arrested in this connection here the other day.
Additional Commissioner of Excise Dept D N Singh said that on a tip-off, the Excise team stopped a canter mini-truck and seized 340 cartons containing quarter bottles of Country Made Foreign Liquor (CMFL) worth Rs 18 lakh.
The truck driver and his helper have been arrested, he said.
