NEW DELHI: Indian gold prices fell by 0.56 percent to Rs 26,420 per 10 gram after metal price dropped in global markets.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in June fell by Rs 136, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 26,695 per 10 gram in 95 lots. Market analysts said weakness in gold in the overseas markets after Federal Reserve signaled that interest rates to rise this year in the world’s biggest economy, boosting the dollar, put pressure on the precious metal prices here.
