BAGHDAD: Iran after a pause has again started the trade customs activates with Iraq through Mehran Border.
This was stated by Mehran city governor Morad Naseri. He disclosed that 838,000 tons of goods worth of $332.5 million have been exported to Iraq through Mehran border during the first half of the current Iranian year, which indicates 14 percent rise compared to last year.
Morad Naseri said, that after a short pause due to the high volume of traffic during Arbaeen, Mehran border Customs trade activity has resumed. He said business owners could go to the border for office works and commercial dealings.
“More than a thousand trucks carrying export goods enter Iraq across the international border every day,” Naseri said, noting that Mehran international border is one of the most important gates of pilgrim traffic as well as exporting Iranian goods to Iraq.
