The ministry pointed out that Fahdawi urged Syrian industrialists to establish electric power production lines in Iraq aiming to supply the Ministry of Electricity with tools required for its stations and power distribution networks.

According to the statement, Fahdawi stressed that this cooperation will achieve two important goals represented by supporting the domestic industrial sector and helping the Syrian industrialists return to work in Iraq after a time of stop because of the crisis in Syria.

The Iraqi minister suggested establishing generation stations at Iraqi-Syrian borders by government or private investment companies with the purpose of supporting the Syrian electricity system which was seriously affected because of the ongoing events in the country. He pointed out that the project of establishing these stations are to be carried out after clearing the Iraqi lands bordering Syria from the gangs of the ISIL terrorist organization.

On his part, the Syrian Ambassador said boosting ties between the two countries is of great important as both countries are in one battle against the same backward takfiri terrorist enemy.

In a statement to SANA correspondent in Baghdad, al-Dandah pointed out that the Iraqi suggestion affirms the importance of what the developed Syrian industry has achieved despite the global war against Syria. It also indicates the advanced scientific and technical level of Syrian industrialists.
