Italy lauds PARC efforts over olive cultivation in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Head of Italian Cooperation in Italian Embassy Dr. Dominco Bruzzone appreciated Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) and its all Provincial Components of Olive Projects efforts to promote olive cultivation in Pakistan.

He lauded PARC efforts in this regard while speaking on the occasion of concluding ceremony of a three-day PARC training program for 25 master trainers about olive processing machinery at Barani Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) at Chakwa.

The training was arranged by PARC under the project Technical Assistance and Support to line ministries in Agriculture Sector with emphasis on Olive Production in Afghanistan, Nepal and Pakistan (AFNEPAK) which is an Italian funded Project.

Dr. Bruzzone said the progress of the project is marvelous and PARC have put right persons at right job. Seeing the progress in olive sector in Pakistan, Italian Government is planning to further assist Pakistan in olive sector along with other sector like health, education, energy and infrastructure sectors. He said Italian Government offers aid as well as soft loans for development in Pakistan.
