NAIROBI: Kenya’s central bank held its benchmark lending rate at 11.5 percent, the bank’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) said in a statement on Wednesday.
The decision was in line with forecasts, with 12 of the 15 analysts polled by Reuters expecting the bank to keep the lending rate unchanged. The bank also maintained the Kenya Banks’ Reference Rate (KBRR) at 9.87 percent.
